AbleTap ("AbleTap," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Chill, LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit AbleTap.io and join our launch waitlist.
To run this website we rely on Netlify (website hosting and waitlist form handling) and PostHog (product analytics). We do not send your waitlist email to Meta or LinkedIn. If you accept advertising cookies, and only when an ID is configured, Meta and LinkedIn receive a page-view measurement, which they may use under their own policies. TODO: legal review of whether that page view counts as a sale or share under US state privacy laws before any paid campaign.
Two kinds of measurement can run on this website.
If you choose Decline, we store that choice in local storage on your device under the key abletap_consent and we do not load the Meta or LinkedIn tags. Accept is stored the same way. Use Cookie choices in the footer to change it. Clearing site data for abletap.io removes the choice.
When those tags load, they receive the page URL, the referring URL, and technical browser data those companies use to count a visit, and they may set their own cookies. TODO: legal review of the exact Meta and LinkedIn cookie names and of how long each company keeps a page view. We do not control those retention periods.
Campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) and the landing path are saved in session storage under abletap_utm_v1 for that tab, whether or not you accept advertising cookies. They stay on your device until the tab session ends. If you submit the waitlist form, those fields are included in the Netlify form submission. They are not added to the Meta or LinkedIn tags. TODO: confirm how long Netlify keeps waitlist submissions, including those campaign fields.
To opt out of advertising tags, choose Decline, or open Cookie choices and choose Decline. You can also use the controls Meta and LinkedIn offer. TODO: confirm the current opt-out pages before treating any single URL as the only method. As of this draft, Meta describes ad controls in its help center, and LinkedIn has guest controls for advertising. Those pages can change.
We keep your waitlist email until launch and a reasonable period afterward, and email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask us to remove you from the waitlist or delete your correspondence at any time. Your advertising-cookie choice stays in this browser until you change it or clear site data. TODO: confirm Netlify's retention for waitlist submissions and the campaign fields stored with them.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of communications. To make a request, email info@abletap.io and we'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time. You can decline advertising tags, or change that choice, with Cookie choices in the footer.
AbleTap's in-app texting and our support line are run by Chill, LLC. When someone texts us, or an AbleTap user texts a contact their caregiver added, we handle the mobile phone number and the message only to deliver the conversation. Our messaging provider, Twilio, delivers these messages on our behalf.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text-message opt-in data and consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help, or email info@abletap.io. See the text-messaging section of our Terms.
The AbleTap.io website and waitlist are intended for adults — parents, caregivers, family members, and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website. AbleTap is designed to support people with disabilities, some of whom may be minors; when the app launches we will provide age-appropriate protections and caregiver controls, described in the product's Privacy Policy. If you believe a child has provided us information through this website, email info@abletap.io and we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS). No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
AbleTap.io is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
